I had an undetected stroke several years ago. My balance was off and I was falling constantly. My appetite left me and malnutrition set in. My leg muscles wasted away. April 18 I had my second stroke and started my inpatient intense rehab. I did well and was put into outpatient which I was doing great.
I unexpectedly had an attack of Ischemic colitis with 4 rehab sessions left. After 1 week in the hospital I’m back to square one. I can’t walk alone and I need more professional help and the motivation I get is priceless.
I feel safe here at rehab then practice at home. My wife hasn’t missed a single therapy, she is my caregiver. She quit working her FT job so we would deeply appreciate some more rehab. Thank you.
This grant would mean the world. I just had a heart breaking setback and to get more help would hopefully get me to where I can just perform daily tasks like getting to the bathroom again. My wife is my only caregiver and we appreciate ANY and ALL help!
