NICK’S STORY

I was in an auto accident about 3 years ago that left me paralyzed from the chest down. It has been a life changing event for both myself and my family. I am unable to do many things by myself that I once never thought twice about, like get out of bed or hold a fork. Everyday has been a struggle but with the help of therapy, I hope to gain some function back and become more independent again. More than anything, I can’t wait to drive again.
This grant will allow for more physical therapy and possibly occupational therapy. Right now insurance only covers 3 sessions a year and as a quadriplegic, I am in need of much more. It would be a huge relief for me and my mom to have this grant help pay for some of the costs.
