Efe’s Story

We recently moved in NC and Efe turned 21 years old at the same time. We learned that his Medicaid only covers 3 sessions of PT per referral! He has been in therapies most of his life and without continuous professional care, his back pain returns! His kifosis is a major issue and a worsened kifosis would mean frequent lung diseases for him. His mom and dad are getting older and his weakening muscles makes transfers very hard. He simply needs to be on PT in order to keep the level of independence and quality of his life.
Efe’s parents have very limited resources and without a grant, it is not possible for them to provide Efe with PT.
