Josh Z’s Story

Josh, at age 25, was hit by a drunk driver and was in a full coma for several weeks and semi-conscious for several months. He was not expected to live due to his TBI. He has now regained all of his intellect, memory, personality, etc., but is still unable to move any parts of his body purposefully, except his right hand. He continues to make progress but has no insurance benefits available for any types of therapy. He needs speech and physical therapy.

My mom had to resign from working to take care of me. We have to pay out of pocket for speech therapy if I will have the opportunity to ever swallow or speak or breathe without a trach. We cannot afford to do both therapies out of pocket.
