KRISTEN’S STORY

On Christmas Day, 2014, I was assaulted, strangled and beaten by my boyfriend. Two arteries in the back of my neck were damaged causing me to have 6-8 strokes. I spent one month in CMC ICU Neuro unit and 3 months in CMC Rehab uptown. I have made substantial progress and am motivated to get better. I have taught children who are autistic and some Mission work in Asia and would like to continue this work as well as care for my children. I have a 19 month old and a 15 year old that I love to care for. I want to not only become independent again but get back to work. I used to teach autistic children and love to help others.
